    Description

This is a beautiful vintage parasol from the Chicago World's Fair of 1933/34. The design is the much more rare and more beautiful one that showcases dazzling artwork derived from the fair logo. The theme of the fair was technological innovation as it celebrated "A Century of Progress"
The parasol is made of paper and wood with a bamboo handle. The mechanism that holds the umbrella open is intact and works, but it is a bit finicky. The colors are still quite bright and brilliant with minimal fading for an object of this age. There are, however, several tears and holes in the top of the umbrella - please look closely at the photos provided, they are of the actual item that you will receive.
The top part of the parasol is decorated with a large "!933" in white lettering with blue and yellow accents, and the words "Chicago World's Fair" in red, and a red globe with the words "A Century of Progress" in black lettering. The background consists of a wonderful blue and white pinwheel design. This is a gorgeous piece of art!!
Size: 31" diameter and 29" tall.
    Ships to USA addresses only.
